Passionate Dog Agility

 The Spotted Wonder is named after the dog that taught me everything and ignited my dog training passion, Currie.  In  2011  I adopted  a  2  1/2  year  old  rescue  border  collie  named  Currie.  Currie  came to me needing a job and unfortunately had  some  reactivity issues.  I  made  it  my  goal  to work  through  the reactivity with  her and give her an outlet in the form of dog sports. I trained her in agility and through the years Currie  taught me how  to  be  a  better  dog  trainer , agility  competitor and handler. She is the reason I'm so heavily engaged with and in love with the agility game. 

We overcame a lot and our teamwork led to many compeitive agility accomplishments on the local, regional and national stage including championship titles and top ten lists. 

One of Currie's nicknames "Spotted Wonder" came to be  through meeting and surpassing every goal and milestone I dreamed up. When I reflect on what we accomplished, I call her "The Spotted Wonder". Our years training together, the working relationship and bond we developed led me to have a true passion for dog training and agility coaching.

My 6 year old sheltie, Strider is very much carrying on this "wonder" legacy also. He leaves me in awe of the skills he knows and the things we can accomplish together.

Dog training and the sport of agility is all about creating a language you and your dog can share and cultivating a bond through trust and friendship. This is where the true wonder lies.
