Ashley teaches with positive reinforcement techniques and emphasizes that learning is cultivated when you give thought and consideration in each exercise. She believes in investing in the dog to develop a language with them and taking the time to let them problem solve.
Ashley Allison has been training dogs for 22 years. At 11 years old she got her start by joining the 4h dog club training her lab mix named Tucker. Here she began learning obedience, agility and basic grooming/care skills. She has personally trained from the ground up multiple breeds of dogs for agility (including her lab mix, an australian shepherd, shelties, and border collies).
She has titled multiple dogs in Agility (across 6 organizations) as well as Canine Good Citizen (Currie).
She is a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers).
Ashley has attended the 2022 Karen Pryor Online Clicker Expo.
Ashley uses positive reinforcement and science based techniques for her own dogs as well as her students dogs. She continues to broaden her knowledge on how to help reactive/ stressed/ over aroused dogs learn to work, train and have fun in different environments (with the main focus being the agility ring).
Ashley currently works full time as a veterinary assistant as well.
